Cyclocross State Championships, 2003 -- Travis Brown Dominates!

Travis Brown entered both the 30+ Masters Men and Men's A race. He won both. No big surprise.

I am not sure how the 30+ race went exactly, as I was the Hypoxic dude in 12th place, but I saw him easily win the Men's A race.

A strong chase group of 3-4 stayed organized and kept him in sight until about 2 laps to go, where Travis got serious and the chase group started to unravel.

Easily recognizable, Zapata Espinoza, formerly of Mountain Bike Editor fame was spectating at the race. Seems he now works for Trek and lives in Dane County.

Under 23 Female National CX Champ Megan Monroe was racing yesterday, too........6th in the Men's B Race Regards, -- JPE
